Thank you Annie for making my childhood more memorable with all your songs and elaborate dances. I sang and danced together with you and even imitated some of your lines. I even named my pet fish Sandy, after your dog. Ahhh, how can I ever forget this curly sue? I watched it again today (and this time with a critical eye), and I can say that sentimental value aside, this is still in fact one of the best musicals ever made. Smooth dance numbers, lush colorful costumes, outstanding performance from a child actor and from Miss Hannigan, sparkling set. Seriously, what is there not to love? I can't think of any reason why anyone would hate it. A must -see!!!
This story in the tale of a lovable orphan, Annie, who grows up in an orphanage in a middle-class part of town, but the problem is, the wicked Matron hates her, and never alows any child from her orphanage to go out with out her accompanyment!
But one day a kindhearted secretary walks in the door of the orphange and changes Annies life forever.
This movie is perfect for the whole family, because there is something in it for everyone; romance for the parents and comedy for the kids, and the best thing about this movie is it's rated "G" and that means it can be viewed at schools, and you can watch it over and over again!!!
This movie deserves a ****/4 star rating because it is a clasical tale that the whole family can enjoy.
i like this movie because its just great and the way the movie is made its great for little kids to watch and usually with movies u like move around so much but with this movie u find a spot and threw the whole movie you are comfortable and it isnt like those vilent movies that you get its a family movie so friday nights you can just sit down and relax with your children and have popcorn you know relaxing like a family.the movie is just enjoyable even if that is a word
A delightful musical that transcends all age groups. Enjoyed by my mother and four year old daughter alike, it can be watched over and over and over again. The songs are infectious and run around your head and often sneak out of your mouth in musical form from time to time. Relive your childhood memories - buy Annie for your kids! You'll all have a ball!
Annie is a smashing tale of rags to riches. A story rich in colour and full of music that has been a favourite of all those who have seen it. Who get forget "Tomorrow" and "Its a hard-knock life"
A poor child living a orphanage run by a awful woman who resembles Cinderellas wicked stepmother.
The only thing Annie wants most is for her parents to come and get her.
The red haired orphan(Aileen Quinn) and her new dog Sandy leave on the adventure of a lifetime all the way to Americas richest man Mr Oliver Warbucks(Albert Finney).
Along the way Annie encounters experiences such as meeting the President, going to the famous Radio City Music Hall and being kidnapped.
Ultimately "Daddy" Warbucks and Grace Farrel(Ann Reinking)fall in love with her and each other and the Cinderella fairytale comes to life showing that dreams really do come true.
And remember "The sun'll come out Tomorrow"
