I WANT ONE!!

Parents looking for studio managed babysitting or a quality way to spend 90 minutes will most likely appreciate Ice Age, and the kiddies will have a ball. Scrat, a primordial squirrel, whose unceasing attempts to keep an acorn in his possession add to the momentum. It’s a good thing that woolly mammoths are extinct, because this movie will have every kid in school wishing for their very own.

Frosty Fun

Great fun in the tradition of Toy Story and Monsters Inc, but this one's not from Disney. Basically it's a buddy movie with animals. One reviewer said they had seen it all before, that might be the case but what hasn't been done before. It's a matter of how it's done, and this is done very well. The kids will love it and you'll laugh too.

Cute

The best bit of the movie was Scrat who has sooo much trouble finding a safe place to hide his acorn. The rest of the film was good, nice animation but fairly predictable.

"Ice Age" in the Modern Age

A brilliant, magical and yet humorous film. Each character has a different personality, all of them interesting, and combined into one team they were magnificent to watch, my favourite scene was the ice sliding scene. Just wait till you see it, you'll love it.

An Enjoyable Movie of Mammoth Proportions

Ice Age is an extremely entertaining movie which gave me and my entire family laughs from start to finish. This heart warming tale begins when a mismatched trio of Sid the Sloth (John Leguizamo), Manfred a large woolly Mammoth (Ray Romano) and Diego a sneaky sabre tooth tiger (Denis Leary) come together. These three unlikely characters are on a journey to return a human baby boy to his family when he is found in the wilderness after his family was attacked by a pack of sabre tooth tigers which Diego is a part of. On their way to Glacier Pass Sid, Manny and Diego encounter many obstacles and different creatures along the way including ninja dodo’s, frozen flying saucers and a loveable little creature Scrat who makes a few cameo’s whilst trying to bury his beloved acorn to keep it out of harms way. This is a movie of gigantic proportion with a well thought out plot and characters that interact and compliment each other brilliantly. Get your popcorn ready for this one because I’m sure Ice Age will definitely have repeat performances at your home.

Extremely Entertaining

You really don't need a sense of humor to laugh at this movie. I think it is a hit with young and old. A movie you can enjoy over and over.

Frozen fun for everyone

Ice Age is a great flick... One of the most entertaining and fun movie-length animations produced in the last decade.
Plenty of subtelty for the grown ups as well as fun and loveable characters for the kids makes it great for the whole family.
John Leguizzano and Ray Romano are featured as the voices of Sid, a sheepish and friendly ice-age sloth with a lisp, and Manny, an lonely mammoth who eventually warms to sid's company, respectively.
The DVD has some fun extra features including interactive games, as well as actor reviews and the like.
Definately a worthwile purchase.

great!!!

I found this movie funny and stunning. It has humour for all ages with a little bit of adventure, deception and ultimate good winning over bad with the bad turning to good. I think I enjoyed it more than the kids and I love this ice skiing scene.

BEST MOVIE YET!!

Ice age is absolutly the best animated movie. Everything is just as good as Monsters Inc. In fact, it is nearly better, than it, however, i think both are great. Ice age is so funny that you would be rolling on the floor in no time. It's just the best movie i've seen. Funny, adventurous, exciting are just my ways of seeing it. It is so good that it is hard to decribe. I just feel sorry for all those out there who haven't watched it yet. You just don't know what you are missing out on.

Smashing Ice Comedy: "Ice Age"

The movie "Ice Age" is one of the greatest action, adventure, comedy movies, which will freeze your homes up. The life-like animation brightens up the atmosphere as you feel like you're actually in icy cold weather. I like this movie because it has plenty of action, especially the part when the group of animals are sliding down on the icy path inside the cave. The comedy in this movie is hilarious, like the scenes of the Squirrel, as you watch the inspiration, and effort of the squirrel trying to grab hold of that nut. In some way or another the nut always goes disappearing and the squirrel always fails, and by looking into the eyes of the squirrel, the animation brings out the laughter and enjoyment of this movie. The adventure is so gripping, and yet so slippery as you watch the journey of the three animals plus the small child traveling through ice, snow and more. Of course for some people this movie wouldn't be the ideal movie because it applies mainly to children, and parts in the movie are of course impossible to happen. As you watch the imagination and inspiration of "Ice Age" you will travel into a world where the unthinkable things will happen. This movie is a hilarious, touching, adventurous, and a smashing ice movie that will bring out a world, which will give you, shivers up your spine.

Overrated

I thought Ice Age was a really overrated movie. When it was in the cinema, it was made out to be much more funny and much more entertaining than it actually was. It is like so many other childrens movie storylines - ive seen it all before!

Wonderful Movie

I thought this was a wonderful movie, that everyone can sit down and enjoy - whether it be child, adult, parent, Grandparent. Everyone in our family enjoyed it and it's a movie you can watch over and over again and still find little bits you missed the last time you watched it. A really great movie and very cute.

Fun for the whole family

The movie itself is great. The animation is extremely well done and the plot is not bad. By far the best feature is "Scratch's Adventures". I just couldn't stop laughing! I would recommend this movie to anyone who likes a good laugh - even though I would not consider it a comedy.
