Hilts are primarily plastic with a rubberised look and feel. The sound and light effects can be independently switched on/off via two switches. Sound is played through a speaker in the base of the hilt. The plastic blades of each Special FX Motion Saber can not be removed or retracted.

The sound and light effects are driven by motion sensors and cannot be individually selected or controlled.

3 x AA batteries are required to activate the light and sound effects (not included). A fresh set of alkaline batteries should last several hours.
