Rebellious newcomer Andie (Briana Evigan) is an outcast trying to fit in at the elite Maryland School of the Arts while still holding onto her old dream of dancing with an underground Baltimore street crew. The school's hottest talent Chase (Robert Hoffman) is a rising star who's looking to break out of his mold - by forming a crew to compete in Baltimore's biggest, most raw street dancing battle, "The Streets."
Now, as chase joins forces with Andie, the two simultaneously clash & sizzle, sending Andie's two worlds into collision. With the pressure heating up on the dance floor & in her life, she must learn to build a bridge between love & loyalty, between freedom & opportunity, between who she is & who she believes she can be.

I really loved this movie, I think it was better than the first one. The choreography has stepped up and the soundtrack had really cool tracks. I love the fact that the movie displayed a little of what goes on "underground" because things like that really happen and it shows how Andie realised what was important to her and took steps to change that. Blake was really uptight at the start of the movie but at the end you saw how he finally saw what Chase saw in Andie and the entire street side of dancing. It was really cool to have a different range of dance styles to the first movie as well. Step Up had predominantly hip-hop and ballet, whereas Step Up 2 The Streets had hip-hop, salsa, ballet, jazz so it gave everybody a chance to have a taste of all kinds of dance styles which is never a bad things these days!
