Wii (pronounced 'we') is Nintendo's new home video game console that represents a radical step into a new era of entertainment. Controls:
Intuitive control for anyone, using the physical motion of the main Wii Remote Up to four Wii Remotes can be connected at once using state of the art wireless Bluetooth technology. The wireless signal can be detected within 10 meters of the console and can be used as a pointer within 5 meters of the screen. Both the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers include a three-axis motion sensor. The Wii Remote also includes a speaker, rumble feature and expansion port,. The Wii Remote has a power switch, D pad, analog control stick and A and B buttons as well as everything you need to get into mind – blowing game action.
The Look:
Wii features a compact design that will make it a natural addition to any television setup. It can be displayed either vertically or horizontally and can be tucked away for space saving.
Media:
A single self-loading media bay will play single- or double-layered 12-centimetre optical discs for Wii, as well as 8-centimetre Nintendo GameCube discs. Unfortunately this console is not DVD compatible, though with the hours of fun you get from it why would you want DVD?
Communication:
WiiConnect24 is a service that allows your Wii to update at night so you dont get it interrupting your game time. This service delivers a new surprise or game update even if you are not playing. Users can connect wirelessly or with a USB 2.0 LAN adaptor. Wii will also communicate wirelessly with your Nintendo DS.
Virtual Console:
Wishing you were able to get the games you loved from your childhood? Well Wii answers this question. Downloadable access to 20 years of fan-favourite titles originally released for Nintendo 64, the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) and even the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). The Virtual Console also will feature a "best of" selection from Sega Genesis titles and games from the TurboGrafx console It also will be home to new games conceived by indie developers whose creativity is larger than their budgets.

The wii console is amazing fun, but what they don't tell you in the "safety instructions" is to make sure you've got sufficient space ABOVE you...
I managed to smash the light fitting in my lounge room playing Tiger Woods golf (I was 5 under par too!)... A trip to the local hardware store and $20 later, nobody was the wiser...
I ordered my Wii from Dstore on a Thursday afternoon and it arrived on Monday morning. Unfortunately I had to wait all day at work to get it home, but it was worth the wait. The Wii + Wii Sports product came with the console, 1 Wii remote, 1 nunchuk attachment & Wii sports.
While the graphics are not up with the Xbox 360 or PS3, it's about 'bang for buck', and that is exactly what Wii provides. It is simply just great fun. I really recommend it!
I thought the nintendo wii was one of the best out of it and the x-box 360 because it is $250 cheaper than the x-box 360, it has the wireless wii remote controller with the nunchuck that fits into the hand exellently, up to four people can play at any one time and you could almost do anything
